BRITISH-NIGERIAN CHUKA UMUNNA DRAMATICALLY WITHDRAWS FROM LABOUR LEADERSHIP CONTEST

The contest to succeed Ed Miliband as Labour leader has been thrown wide open as Chuka Umunna the poster boy touted to win the contest dramatically pulled out of the race.
Chuka gave his reason for pulling out simply that he had not anticipated the 'level of pressure' that he would undergo as a leadership candidate and the way it will affect his family.
Aides deny that it was essentially due to media investigations into his personal life but concluded that Chuka was not ready for all the media attention that would come if he is elected.
Chuka Umunna's decision to withdraw leaves room for Mr Hunt, Liz Kendall ,Mary Creagh as the leading contenders for Labour leadership.
They will go against Andy Burnham and Yvette Cooper.
Its still unclear who Chuka Umunna will support.
