I love brow pencils over powder ones and recently picked up pencils from City Color. Today’s review is all about City Color Ebony Duo Brow Pencil. Read on to know more.

City Color Ebony Duo Brow Pencil Details

My Experience with City Color Ebony Duo Brow Pencil:

The product comes in a sealed wooden pencil. It has to be sharpened every time it becomes blunt. One side is the pencil and the other side is a spoolie. Both the sides have cap to it. They close well and do not open accidentally. There is a band of the shade near the cap. There is very little information available on the pencil. The product doesn’t come with a sharpener and I wish it came with it as it would be handy to sharpen in one go. There are around 5 shades available. I picked up brown and ebony as I was not sure which would be the perfect match for me.

“Ebony” is a dark brownish-black shade. The shade looks very natural on black eyebrows. The product is well pigmented and has an amazing color pay off. With just one stroke, you can get the color deposited on your brows to work with it. The texture of the pencil is very creamy and soft. This makes it easy to blend once you draw the lines. You need to use soft hands to draw the lines or it can get darker and this makes the brows look very unnatural.

City Color Ebony Duo Brow Pencil Tip

The pencil, even though is very soft can create patchy lines and you need to blend it well or else the strokes will be sticking out. The product doesn’t dry down immediately and you will have ample amount of time to blend it out. Once the color is set, it doesn’t fade or smudge. The product doesn’t wash off in rain or pool too. I was at the beach for almost 5-6 hours and the color stayed even with a lot of waves splashing on my face.

City Color Ebony Duo Brow Pencil Spoolie

The longevity is amazing and my brows were filled for almost 6-8 hours. At times it did fade a little due to sweat and me wiping the sweat off at the gym but, other than on a normal day, I am sure you can get an amazing payoff. The spoolie helps in blending out the product well on the eyebrows. You should be cleaning the spoolie often as the product gets settled on it. The product is very easy to remove too and with a makeup remover or with a cream cleanser, you can just get it out. Overall, it is a good product and I have no issues with it. It is affordable and I love it.
