My favourite style is definitely a classic french manicure, it's timeless and goes with everything. I'm lucky to have strong nails that grow fast so I always have the opportunity for a glossy french manicure. I always choose a pink tone, such as Rimmel's New Romantic (227) for the nail rather than clear and finish with a high shine top coat.
If it's not french manicure I'd usually go for a pale colour with some kind of glitter involved. I've quite pale skin so dark colours don't suit my skin tone as they make my hands look deathly pale!! The first picture below is two Penneys nail varnishes, followed by Topshop's Starlight (101).
My favourite nail brand at the minute is Rimmel's Kate Moss collection, the range has a really good variety of colours in it and this Cocktail Passion one is my favourites, it's a lovely colour for the summer time, goes great with a tan and is so glossy! No top coat needed!
But when I'm not painting my own nails, Shellac would be my next choice, I recently got this done in Sugardolls and loved it, it's a pale lilac, perfect for spring time. I think I'll choose the same colour next time!
And lastly I have to mention my most recent find, Wet n' Wild. I stumbled across this very affordable range in Dunnes Stores a few weeks ago and the nail varnishes were only €2. I picked up a pale pink and a glitter pink and I wasn't disappointed! I love the range, and I'll definitely be stocking up on more!
